By: James L. Cooper

January 2012 — “Did you know that 160,000 students stay home from school every day because of bullying?” (National Association of School Psychologists)
In honor of No Name-Calling Week (January 23rd-27th), tween recording artist Karlee Roberts invites all kids (grades 5-8) to enter her 2012 NO NAME-CALLING POSTER CONTEST.
Promoting self-confidence and encouraging students to discover the universal facet of humanity, Karlee’s original song “Call Me Whatever” has received international attention from organizations like “Pop Beats Bullying” and has been recognized by young students from all across the world who have been reaching out to share how her first original song, “Call Me Whatever”, has made a difference in their lives.
“Call me whatever you want.
Insecure is one thing that I’m not.
This is the way that I’ve always been.
Can’t you see we’re all the same within?”
“Call Me Whatever” stands up to bullying, building confidence in victims and informing bullies and bystanders. The 2012 “Call Me Whatever” No Name-Calling Poster Contest gives students the power to draw, paint, create, and express themselves while helping spread anti-bullying awareness to others.
