The New York resident music composer, producer and pianist Duke Bojadziev (a.k.a. Duke B) along with his Ensemble of established traditional and classical musicians, will take us on a journey through his eclectic fusion of classical romanticism meeting the traditional roots of Balkan melodies and rhythm. He will present the material from the new project “Dream, Faith, Love” as well as some of the previous orchestral and film work. Duke’s credits include scoring for American and European film, TV and multimedia. He has released 7 solo albums and has been featured on a worldwide CD compilations (“Marakesh Express”, “Chill out in Paris” ). Collaborates with TelepopMusik, Karen Elson White, Paul Cantelon and did remixes for Cindy Lauper, Asia Argento and Blue Man Group. Duke’s musical work goes from a small and large orchestral scores to electronic production and remixes, in the style of a 21 century composer.
As a musical director and pianist of the infamous New York – based musical theater/cabaret “The Citizens Band”, Duke performed in venues such as The Highline Ballroom, Cipriani Ballroom, The Avalon Theater in LA and opening for Art Basel in Miami. This experience inspired him to start his own performance series with his film scores and orchestral music fused with Sufi poetry, in a very theatrical and cinematic style. The first official debut was the concert at The Carnegi Hall in april 2011 with his previous project “Love is the way”.
